Our brand develops lifestyle products specializing in metals with the theme of “sensibility,” that come from the needs of everyday life.
To express our pride in Japanese craftsmanship, all of our ‘art numbered’ products are stamped with GPS coordinates to the main production and metal processing factories in Japan.
Our products are not painted so that you can enjoy the true character of brass as it ages over time.
Our products are placed in vacuum sealed packages so that you can feel the brass directly from the craftsman’s hands to your own, and enjoy the aging process as it changes naturally with everyday use.
What is Brass ?
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. The Japanese ‘5 yen coin’ is also made of brass.
In Japan, it has been widely used for Buddhist altars, temple decorations, and furniture since the Edo period. Even today, it is used in a wide range of applications, including accessories, watch parts, lighting, and construction materials.
Brass is used in different ways depending on how it is processed. A low zinc content is characterized by a strong reddish color and softness, while a high zinc content is characterized by a strong golden color and hardness.
